The White Coat Ceremony for III year BDS students was held on 12th March 2025 in the Dental College Auditorium, marking an important milestone in the students’ academic journey as they transitioned into clinical practice. Principal Dr.Sharath Asokan welcomed the gathering. Dr.Aruna Mohan, Pediatric Dentist, co-founder and Director at Capstone Multispeciality Clinic and Dr.Usha Hegde, Professor, Department of Oral Pathology at JSS Dental College, were the Guests of Honour for the ceremony. They addressed the audience on the role of the white coat and the importance of ethical clinical practice. They distributed white coats to the new batch of students, symbolizing their entry into the clinical phase of their education. Dr.M.Rajmohan, Professor, Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology, administered the White Coat Ceremony Oath, highlighting the significance of professionalism, ethics, and patient care in their future roles as dental professionals. The ceremony was graced by parents apart from Vice-Principals, Directors and faculty members.
