A Value-Added Course on ICT Tools was conducted on March 24, 2026, for faculty members and postgraduate students. The session was delivered by Dr.H.Prasad, Director (IQAC), who presented an insightful lecture on “Identifying Journal Indexing and Predatory Journals.” The program was embraced with active participation from 79 attendees. Dr.Prasad comprehensively covered key topics, including journal indexing, methods to verify a journal’s indexing status, an overview of journal metrics, and the identification of predatory journals. He also highlighted important resources and practical checklists to help researchers make informed decisions while selecting journals for publication. The session was highly informative and well-received by both faculty members and postgraduate students, who found it extremely beneficial for their academic and research activities. The event was presided over by the Principal, Dr.Sharath Ashokan, along with the members of the Value-Added Courses Committee.
