The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry successfully conducted a comprehensive dental screening and treatment camp at Sri Saidev Special School on 28th April 2026. The camp was organized with the objective of promoting oral health awareness and delivering essential dental care services to children with special health care needs. A team of pediatric dentists, interns, and postgraduate students actively participated in the program, ensuring a compassionate and child-friendly approach throughout the camp. A total of 10 children underwent oral screening, where common dental conditions such as dental caries, gingival inflammation, and malocclusion were identified. Preventive and basic treatment procedures, including oral prophylaxis, fluoride application, and simple restorations, were carried out. Special emphasis was given to behavior management techniques to ensure a comfortable and stress-free experience for the children. In addition to clinical care, oral health education sessions were conducted for both students and caregivers, highlighting the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene practices and dietary habits.
