An event against Drug Abuse was organized in the dental college auditorium on the International Youth Day on 12th August 2024. The event aimed to enlighten and engage the institution’s community about the dangers of drug abuse and foster a collective commitment to a drug-free lifestyle. Principal Dr.Sharath Asokan addressed the importance of tackling drug abuse as a critical social issue. He emphasized the role of educational institutions in creating awareness and providing support to prevent drug abuse. Dr.M.Maheshwaran, Member-in-Charge, Anti-Drug Club, delivered the anti-drug pledge. Over 200 students and faculty members participated in the event and took the pledge. All students and faculty members also took the online pledge available in the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan website.
