School dental health education program organized on World Oral Health Day!

Team Pedo organized a School Dental Health Education Program at MDV Higher Secondary School, Tiruchengode, Namakkal District on 20th March 2024 as a part of World Oral Health Day Celebrations. An oral health awareness campaign was conducted for 450 students of Grade VI to X regarding dental caries prevention, oral habits and dental trauma prevention. Hand puppets and flashcards were used to make the lecture more interactive. Models on tooth brushing demonstrations and food guide pyramids were shown. Grade VI children were screened and were referred to KSRIDSR for further treatment.
