A rally was organised by the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Erode branch and KSR Institute of Dental Science and Research on 31st May 2023 on the occasion of “World No Tobacco day” in association with Indian Medical Association (IMA), Erode Branch. The rally started at Kalingarayan Illam at 7 AM and ended at IMA hall, Sampath Nagar. At the start of the rally, a No Tobacco pledge was taken by the students and members of IDA and IMA. The rally was flagged off by the IMA President Dr.S.A.Senthilvel, IMA Secretary Dr.Parthiban Duraisamy, IMA Treasurer Dr.K.Aravind kumar, IDA President (and Prof & HOD of Oral Pathology, KSRIDSR) Dr.M.Rajmohan and District Tobacco Cell Controller Dr.Kalaiselvi. Over 200 students from our college, and members of IMA and IDA participated in the rally. Anti-tobacco placards were displayed and slogans were voiced in the rally. The public were sensitized about the ill effects of tobacco.
