Postgraduate students and faculty members from the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry participated in the 44th National Conference of the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry at Karnavati University, Ahmedabad from 26th to 29th October 2023. Dr.S.Yazhini and Dr.B.Chandrakantha, final year PG students, won the Best Paper Awards for their research titled “Association between snack parenting style and dental caries status of children aged 7-8 years – A sequential mixed method approach” and “Effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy on reducing dental anxiety and improving cooperation in children aged 6-8 years – A randomized controlled trial” respectively.
Principal Dr.Sharath Asokan was a resource faculty in the “Masterclass – Coffee with Editors”, where budding Pediatric Dentists had the opportunity to meet and interact with the editors of journals.
