Dr.K.S.Janani Priya, a third-year postgraduate student, Department of Periodontics, secured the first place in the Indian Society of Periodontology Annual Essay Competition 2024 under the postgraduate category on the topic “Periodontal Health in Special Population: Addressing Challenges in Geriatric and Pediatric Patients.” She was awarded a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of Rs.10,000 by Dr.Gopalakrishnan, Immediate Past President of the Indian Society of Periodontology, Dean, Professor and Head, Department of Periodontics, Dr.D.Y.Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pune, Maharashtra, during a special guest lecture in our college auditorium held on 15th November 2024, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of KSR Institute of Dental Science and Research.
