The Department of Periodontics, in association with the ISP Salem Study Circle, organized the “PG Induction Program” on 15th November 2024. The program featured insightful lectures aimed at shaping the future of aspiring periodontists by esteemed speakers. Dr.Srihari, Professor and Head, Department of Periodontics, Sri Ramakrishna Dental College and Hospital, Coimbatore gave a lecture on the topic “Interdisciplinary Approach during PG Program”. Dr.V.R.Balaji, Professor and Head, Department of Periodontics, CSI College of Dental Science and Research, Madurai, lectured on the topic “Clinical Documentation and Dental Photography Skills”. Dr.Vijay, Director and Principal, RVS Dental College and Hospital, Coimbatore, spoke on the topic “Soft Skills Development and Time Management”. Dr.Gopalakrishnan, Dean, Professor, and Head, Department of Periodontics, Dr.D.Y.Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pune, Maharashtra, served as the moderator for the sessions and shared his expertise and valuable insights with the postgraduate students. Dr.Elanchezhiyan, President, ISP Salem Study Circle, honored the speakers with mementos as tokens of appreciation. Twenty four postgraduate students from various dental colleges attended the program and found the lectures highly beneficial as they embark on their journey of specialization in the field of Periodontics.
