PATHOVERSE ’22, a CDE program organized by Team OPath, was held on 19th December 2022 in the Dental Auditorium. The title of this program was “Innovation tips for last bench geniuses”. The programme was conferred with 3 CDE points by the Tamilnadu Dental Council (459/22). Postgraduate students and interns were the main target audience for this live program. Over 150 participants including faculty members attended the event.
Dr U.R.Anoop, Director, U.R.Anoop Research Group, and holder of several patents, delivered a talk on ‘Developing a medical device – An oral pathologist’s perspective’. This was followed by a second lecture on ‘Practical tips to patenting in India and abroad’.
Participants benefited from the personal experience described by Dr.U.R.Anoop regarding the practical difficulties and roadblocks, and methods to overcome these while applying for patents. Feedback from the audience was unanimously positive.
