Orientation program conducted for the new batch of I BDS students and their parents

An orientation programme was conducted for the first year BDS 2026–27 batch on 7th October 2026 at Dhanvanthri Hall with students and parents in attendance. Principal Dr.Sharath Asokan welcomed the students and parents and briefed them about the institution, BDS curriculum, and the objectives of the orientation programme. Dr.Geetha Priya, Director (Research), highlighted the importance of library resources and research in dental education. Dr.Prasad, Director (IQAC), explained the role of IQAC and the institutional digital resources. Dr.Rajmohan, Mentor–Mentee Chairperson, introduced the mentor–mentee system and student–parent–faculty interaction. Dr.Deepa, ladies hostel faculty warden, briefed the students about hostel rules, safety, and support facilities. Dr.Sebeena Mathew, Code of Conduct Committee Chairperson, explained the rules, regulations, and code of conduct to be followed by the students. This was followed by an interactive session where parents posed questions and cleared their doubts. The programme provided the freshers and their parents with a clear understanding of the academic, institutional, mentoring, hostel, and student support systems at KSRIDSR. Following the orientation program, the students and parents planted a few tree saplings, as a tradition marking new beginnings.
