Oral health treatment camp conducted as a part of National Handloom Day!

An oral health treatment camp was conducted by the department of Public Health Dentistry in Sengunthar Hall, Suriyampalayam, Tiruchengode on 7th August 2024 for handloom workers. This camp was organised by the Handloom Department, Tiruchengode as a part of National Handloom Day celebrations. The program was presided over by the Namakkal District Collector. Around 45 patients were screened for oral diseases and 10 members were treated for their complaints. A health talk was given on the maintenance of oral hygiene and about proper brushing techniques. A team of 15 members which included teaching staff, interns, final years, non teaching staff members and technicians participated in the camp. The program was successful in providing oral health needs of the handloom workers.
