As part of World Oral Health Day celebrations, an oral health awareness program was conducted at Arvinth College of Nursing by the Department of Public Health Dentistry on 20th March 2023. The organising team consisted of 3 staff members and 9 interns. In this program, a health education talk on the topic “Role of Nurses in delivering Oral health care” was delivered by Dr.R.Prakash, HOD, Department of Public Health Dentistry, for about 150 students. A quiz was conducted for the students to enhance their awareness and knowledge on dentistry. World Oral Health day pledge for health care workers was taken by the staff and students of the institution. Oral health screening was done to nearly 150 students as part of the program. The students were educated about proper brushing technique and maintenance of oral health. The students participated enthusiastically and were benefited from the program.
