As part of National Youth Day celebration, an oral health awareness program was conducted at Vellalar College for Women by the Department of Public Health Dentistry and the NSS unit of our institution at Erode on 30th January 2023. The organizing team consisted of 2 staff members, 3 NSS volunteers and 3 Interns. In this program, a health education talk on the topic “Oral health for overall health” was delivered by Dr.R.Prakash, HOD, Department of Public Health Dentistry for about 300 students. Oral health screening was done to nearly 130 students as part of the program. The students were educated about proper brushing technique and maintenance of oral health. The students participated enthusiastically and benefited from the program.
