The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, in collaboration with the Department of Public Health Dentistry, organized an oral cancer awareness program for the drivers of Vidhya Vikas Educational Institution, Tiruchengode, on 12th February 2026. The session commenced at 10:30 AM with Dr.S.Sam Ponraj Davidson addressing the gathering and outlining the aim and objectives of the program, along with providing an overview of the causes of oral cancer. Dr.B.Senthil Kumar delivered a detailed presentation on the clinical features, diagnostic approaches, and investigations related to oral cancer. Dr.Anand Kumar.J presented an informative session on treatment modalities and habit-cessation counselling. This was followed by oral screening of the participants. The participants actively engaged in the session and acknowledged the institution’s initiative in raising awareness on this vital health concern. Around 35 attendees benefited from the program.
