On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the Value Added Course cell, along with IQAC, organized a Yoga and Wellness Programme for the First and Second year BDS students on 20th June 2026, to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle. We were privileged to have Dr.Boris Bhim from the Isha Yoga Centre as our Chief Guest and Instructor for the programme. The event commenced with a warm welcome address, followed by an insightful introduction highlighting the importance of yoga and mindfulness in managing stress and enhancing overall well-being. Approximately 200 students enthusiastically participated in the three hour yoga session. The programme included the practice of Yoga Namaskar, a powerful sequence of yogic postures designed to improve flexibility, strength and vitality. Students were also guided through Nadi Shuddhi Pranayam, a yogic breathing technique that helps balance the body’s energy channels, improve concentration, and induce a sense of calmness. In addition, participants were introduced to the Miracle of Mind meditation practice, which emphasized inner awareness, emotional balance and mental clarity. The session was engaging and rejuvenating, helping students reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance overall well-being through yoga, breathing exercises, and meditation.
