The Department of Periodontics organized a special guest lecture to commemorate the 20th anniversary of KSR Institute of Dental Science and Research on 15th November 2024. Dr.Gopalakrishnan, Immediate Past President of the Indian Society of Periodontology, and Dean, Professor, and Head of the Department of Periodontics, Dr.D.Y.Patil Dental College and Hospital, was the resource person of this program. He shared his valuable insights and expertise on “Periodontal Plastic Surgery” and the lecture proved to be thought-provoking for the interns, postgraduate students and faculty members, offering in-depth perspectives on the different treatment modalities and recent advances in the management of mucogingival problems. Principal Dr.Sharath Asokan felicitated Dr.Gopalakrishnan with a memento as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
