Good clinical practice training conducted for postgraduate students!

The IQAC and the KSRIDSR Institutional Ethics Committee, in alignment with SDG 3 and SDG 4, organized a training program on “Good Clinical Practice” for the postgraduate students on 30th and 31st of October 2023. The training was conducted by the Centre for Ethics, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). Dr.Vina Vaswani, Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, Dr.Uma Kulkarni, Professor, Ophthalmology and Dr.Ravi Vaswani, Professor, Medicine, were the resource faculty. The sessions were on Bioethics, ICMR Guidelines for Biomedical Research involving Human Participants, Indian GCP guidelines, Ethics Committee and the Ethical review process. The sessions turned out to be an eye opener on the responsibilities of an investigator and ethical and safety considerations in research for the 38 fledgling researchers.
