Prof.Dr.Sharath Asokan, Principal, KSRIDSR, was invited as the keynote speaker for a CDE program organized by the Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS), KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, under the aegis of the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry. The program, titled “From Idea to Impact: Write, Publish, Lead,” was conducted on March 25, 2026, and comprised both lecture sessions and an intensive hands-on workshop. Dr.Sharath Asokan delivered a series of insightful sessions focusing on research methodology, study design, reporting guidelines, literature search strategies, and scientific writing using the IMRAD format. His sessions emphasized transforming research ideas into impactful scientific publications, equipping participants with practical knowledge aligned with global standards such as CONSORT and PRISMA guidelines. The hands-on component of the program provided participants with guided training in framing research questions using PICO/FINER criteria, building effective search strategies, and mastering reference management with Vancouver style citations. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from delegates, reflecting the growing importance of research-oriented learning in dental education.
