A “National Leprosy Eradication Program ” was organised by NSS volunteers of KSR college of Arts and Science for Women, Tiruchengode on 2nd August 2024. The program highlighted the WHO theme for the year 2024 – “Beat Leprosy”. Dr.M.ChandraMohan, Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of our institution delivered an awareness lecture for the NSS volunteers. He discussed about the role of students in identifying leprosy at an early stage, guiding the patients to avail proper treatment and also the measures to be taken to prevent leprosy from spreading. The program was attended by 70 NSS volunteers and few faculty members of KSRCASW. The program was well appreciated and NSS volunteers took a pledge to “Beat Leprosy”.
