Diabetes awareness rally conducted in Tiruchengode on 15th November!

On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, Department of Biochemistry and Department of Public Health Dentistry, KSR Institute of Dental Science and Research jointly conducted a rally to create awareness about diabetes among public on 15th November 2023. Around 300 participants from I year to III Year BDS students including NSS volunteers participated in this rally. Mr.P.M.Emayavaramban, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tiruchengode and Dr.G.Senthil Kumar, Blood Bank Medical Officer, Government Hospital, Tiruchengode flagged off the rally from Anna statue near Tiruchengode bus stand. Principal Dr.Sharath Asokan, Dr.G.Rajeshwari, Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, Dr.R.Prakash, Professor and Head, Department of Public Health Dentistry and staffs of the respective departments also participated in this rally. The rally passed through the four car streets and ended at Anna statue. Slogans were voiced and placards were displayed by the students in the rally to create awareness about diabetes. Overall, the program turned out to be successful in creating awareness among the people residing in Tiruchengode.
