On 25th November 2025, 140 enthusiastic kindergarten students from Avvai KSR Matriculation School, Tiruchengode visited the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, KSRIDSR for an exciting field trip and awareness program. The young visitors were taken on a guided tour of the department, where they were introduced to the dental clinic setup, dental X-ray unit, and to various child-friendly dental procedures which are performed routinely. To make learning fun and interactive, flash cards, colourful hand puppets, and model demonstrations were used to explain the importance of oral hygiene and the ways to prevent Early Childhood Caries (ECC). A special tooth-brushing demonstration was given to all children using puppets and models, ensuring every child understood the correct brushing technique. The children actively participated, asked questions, and thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on learning experience. The visit not only familiarized the children with the dental environment but also helped them overcome dental anxiety, promoting a positive attitude towards oral health care. The day concluded with happy smiles, cheerful interactions, and a memorable learning experience for the young minds.
