The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, in association with the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD), successfully organized a two-day CDE program with hands-on workshop “THE OPEN SECRET – SEDATION UNVEILED 3.0” on August 5th and 6th, 2026, at Rang Enclave, Sushrutha Block. Dr.Ashwin Rao, Professor and Head, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, was the resource faculty. The workshop garnered an enthusiastic response with 70 registered participants, comprising postgraduates from RVS Dental College, private practitioners, undergraduates, postgraduates and faculty from various departments of KSRIDSR. Over the course of two days, Dr.Ashwin Rao delivered comprehensive lectures series on case selection, child behavior video demonstrations, oral, intranasal, and inhalation sedation, alongside crucial pediatric considerations. Both days concluded with intensive, interactive hands-on demonstrations, making the program a resounding academic and clinical success for all participating dental professionals. Tamil Nadu Dental Council awarded 10 CDE points for the programme.
