On 13th February 2023, International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Day celebration was observed. Organized by the department of OMFS, a CDE program and wiring exercise on dental models was conducted involving interns, PGs and faculty members. The function was graced by the guest of honour Dr.P.Subramanian, President, AOMSI – TN and Pondicherry branch. The theme for the program was “Saving Lives & Saving Faces”. Awareness about wearing seat belts and helmets were stressed. RTA protocols and legal issues were discussed. Undergraduate alumni, who are presently maxillofacial surgeons, were invited to be a part of the CDE program. They gave the following guest lectures:

The total number of participants was 214. After the lectures, wiring exercise for maxillofacial trauma was demonstrated on models.
