On account of Senior Citizens Day, the Department of Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, along with NSS and Rotaract, organized an outreach and awareness programme on the importance of replacement of missing teeth for the inmates of Maria Nivas Home for the Aged on 23rd August 2024. A total of 16 members including 6 postgraduate students, 2 interns, 2 NSS students, 3 rotaract club members, 2 teaching faculty and 1 driver facilitated the outreach program. Role play was performed by the postgraduate students and interns regarding the awareness of replacement of missing teeth. Oral Screening was done for 25 inmates. A review was done for 4 patients who were earlier rehabilitated with prosthesis in the previous denture camp. Tooth pastes and oral ulcer gels were distributed to the inmates. All the inmates benefited from the role play and gained knowledge regarding the replacement of missing teeth.
