The Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge conducted the Basic Implantology Workshop from 25th to 27th April 2024. The workshop was inaugurated by Principal Dr.Sharath Asokan and the inaugural speech was given by Vice Principal (Administration), Dr.C.A Mathew. The program was scheduled with the objective of making the undergraduates understand and follow protocols about the basics of implantology in their clinical practice. Lectures on “Introduction to basic implantology”, “Prosthetic management of single tooth restoration with implants” and “Implant components and implant impressions” were delivered by Dr.Biju, Dr.Mayavaraj, and Dr.Vidhyasankari respectively. Live demonstrations of implant placement on patients were followed by the lectures. Implant impression making was demonstrated to all the participants by Dr.Rajkumar and Dr.Sakthi Gnanavel. In total, 46 delegates attended the workshop and benefited from it.
