Awareness program on HIV and AIDS organized!

The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry organized the “Breaking the Silence 2.0” Awareness Programme on December 12, 2025 for Dental, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences students. Mr.S.Jeyapaul from the Nalam Child Development Centre & Child Welfare Committee, Namakkal, was the resource faculty. He delivered a comprehensive lecture on HIV and AIDS, emphasizing its prevalence, prevention, and the necessity of combating social stigma. An interactive quiz engaged the students, followed by an inspiring session in which Ms.Shalini, Lead Counsellor for HIV-positive individuals, shared her professional insights and personal experiences. The programme concluded with a concise summary and the outlining of plans for future awareness and outreach initiatives.
