Awareness program and screening camp organized on World Hepatitis Day

On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day 28th July 2023, the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Department of Public Health Dentistry jointly organized an awareness program on hepatitis and an oral screening camp at Vellalar Nursing College, Thindal, Erode. Around 200 students participated in the awareness lecture given by Dr.Suryahanth Mihiran, Reader, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The awareness lecture focused on management of blood borne diseases, highlighting the WHO theme for 2023 “WE ARE NOT WAITING”. Screening camp was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry under Dr.Prakash for the students of Vellalar Nursing College. The program was well received and appreciated by the participants.
