In compliance with the guidelines laid down by the University Grants Commission and the Dental Council of India, an anti-ragging workshop was held for the I year BDS students on Monday, 27th November, 2017.

Dr.M.C.Sainath, Principal of Madha Dental College, Chennai, and member of the DCI, was the Chief Guest. He delivered a presentation highlighting what constitutes ragging, and what are the means to tackle the same. The workshop was presided over by the Chairman, Lion Dr.K.S.Rangasamy. Advocate Mr.Thirumoorthi, and Inspector of Police, Tiruchengode (Rural), Mr.Arockiyaraj, were also present, and delivered words of advice to the students. Dr.Renuka Devi, resident counselor, provided her insights about the social ills of ragging.

The principal of KSRIDSR, Dr.G.S.Kumar, explained the various measures that the institute had taken to ensure a ragging free campus. Senior faculty and resident wardens also attended the workshop.
