The 13th clinicopathological meeting of the Triple-O Departments was successfully conducted on 1st July 2026, featuring an engaging and academically enriching session on the theme “Decoding the Unusual: Two Challenging Oral Lesions.” The programme included two thought-provoking case presentations. The first case, Reticular Lichen Planus in a pediatric patient, was presented by Dr.R.Swarnalatha, who elaborated on the patient’s clinical history, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and treatment protocol. This was followed by Dr.D.Deepa Devi, who provided a comprehensive interpretation of the histopathological findings, highlighting the key microscopic features that supported the diagnosis. The second case, focusing on a lymphoproliferative disorder in an elderly patient, was presented by Dr.Kristine Valentina M, who discussed the clinical presentation, diagnostic workup, diagnosis, and management. Subsequently, Dr.M.Monisha delivered an insightful interpretation of the corresponding histopathological features, correlating the microscopic findings with the clinical diagnosis. The session concluded with an expert discussion by Dr.Chandhini Asokan, Senior Lecturer, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), who elaborated on the various treatment approaches and multidisciplinary management strategies for Reticular Lichen Planus and lymphoproliferative disorders, emphasizing the importance of clinicopathological correlation in achieving an accurate diagnosis and optimal patient care.
The meeting witnessed enthusiastic participation from 27 faculty members, 41 postgraduate students, and 71 interns.
