The Department of Anatomy of KSR Institute of Dental Science and Research, Tiruchengode had organized a one day CDE Webinar on February 14th titled “Vertical Integration on Thryoid Gland”. Dr.Lavanya Prathap, Associate Professor, Department of Anatomy, Saveetha Dental College, Chennai, gave a guest lecture on the topic “Embryology and Histology of Thyroid Gland”. Dr.K.Suba Ananthi, Professsor, Department of Anatomy, Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Pondicherry, gave a guest lecture on the topic “Gross and Surgical Anatomy of Thyroid Gland”. Dr.G.Purushothaman, Reader, Department of Physiology, Vivekanandha Dental College, Tiruchengode, delivered a guest lecture on “Synthesis, Secretion, Functions & Regulation of Thyroid Hormone”. Dr.C.Thangam, Reader and Head, Department of Pharmacology, KSR Institute of Dental Science and Research, Tiruchengode, gave a lecture on the topic “Pharmacotherapy of Thyroid Diseases”. Dr.J.Karthikesh, Professor and Head, Department of Pathology, KSR Institute of Dental Science and Research, Tiruchengode, gave a lecture on the topic “Pathophysiology and Clinical Examination of Thyroid Gland”. Totally 420 participants including faculty, undergraduate and postgraduate students from various colleges, registered and attended the webinar through Zoom and live YouTube streaming.
