The departments of Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge and Public Health Dentistry of KSRIDSR organized and conducted an awareness presentation and a screening camp for the 200 bus drivers of Vellalar Educational Institutions on 28th of October 2022 at the Vellalar Trust Hospital, to celebrate the International Day for the Elderly (October 1st). The postgraduate students and faculty made the audience aware about the consequences of not replacing missing teeth and the importance and methods of replacing them. The drivers were later screened for conditions which required replacement of missing teeth. Thirty of them who required replacements were motivated for the pre-prosthetic treatment procedures before they would be rehabilitated with artificial replacements. The participants interacted with the faculty to clear their doubts and were eager to get the rehabilitation done at the earliest.
