The Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge conducted an awareness and screening camp at Maria Nivas (home for the aged) on 29th March 2023, to commemorate the “World Oral Health Day”. Teaching faculty, post graduate students and interns conducted a screening of all the 30 inmates, which revealed that most of them required replacements for missing teeth. Models were used by the interns to educate the inmates about brushing techniques and maintenance of oral hygiene. It was followed by a visual presentation by the post graduates on the importance of proper diet and hydration, for the general well being. They were also made to understand about the local and systemic consequences that could follow if teeth were not replaced and the options for their replacement. It was followed by an interactive session which clarified the doubts of the inmates.
