Oral screening and health awareness camp conducted for school children!

As a part of World Oral Health Day Celebrations, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry conducted an oral screening and health awareness camp at SMVB Higher Secondary School, Villarasampatti, Erode District on 21st March 2024. Around 50 children of Grade II and III were screened for oral health problems and referred to KSRIDSR for further treatments. Toothbrushing demonstrations were done. Children were asked to volunteer for toothbrushing and this helped them to reinforce the proper brushing techniques. Awareness about healthy food habits and good oral hygiene practices were instilled among these children. Free tooth paste samples were distributed to all the children.
