Oral health awareness camp conducted at Kavindapadi Government Middle School!

As a part of World Oral Health Day celebrations, Mounitha A, CRI from Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry organized an oral health awareness camp at her alma mater, Government Middle School, Kavindapadi, Erode District on 4th April 2024. Awareness about dental caries, good oral hygiene practices and injury prevention were given to 120 children from Grade I to VIII using flash cards. Toothbrushing demonstrations were shown on brushing model and children were asked to volunteer for tooth brushing demonstrations to reinforce proper brushing technique. The campaign was very informative and well received by the children. This initiative aimed to foster oral health awareness at different districts and encourage students to take responsibilities for raising awareness in their hometowns.
