Oral cancer awareness and screening camp conducted

February is observed as “National Cancer awareness month”. To commemorate this, the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology along with the Department of Public Health Dentistry organised an awareness program and screening camp for the employees of Mallika International, a textile industry, at Koottappali on 6th of February, 2023. The program commenced at 10.00 am and the employees were addressed by Dr.Gomathi, Reader, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, about “Awareness on Oral Cancer”. Following this, 110 employees of Mallika International were screened and were referred to KSR Institute of Dental Science and Research for further management. Employees found this awareness program to be informative and gave positive response about the Institute’s initiative in educating the public about oral cancer.
