A medical cum dental screening camp was organised by the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics along with Benchmark Medical Trust on 1st April 2023 (Saturday) at Kariyakaliamman temple hall, Modakurichi, Erode. The camp started at 9.30 AM and went on till 2 PM in the afternoon. A team of doctors consisting of dental surgeons, ophthalmologists, cardiologist, gynaecologist, and a general physician were actively involved in the camp. Around 70 general public participated in the free camp and free medications were provided. Dental screening, diabetic screening, BP monitoring, diagnosis of heart related problems, respiratory diagnosis, and blood work were also done in the camp for the benefit of the public. A general awareness discussion on preventing oral diseases, and maintaining oral hygiene was done by Dr.Revathy and Dr.Bommanna Logesh during the camp. Many patients diagnosed with oral diseases were properly referred to the our institution for further management. Overall the camp was very helpful to the needy people.
