The Department of Periodontology in association with Laser India Academy conducted a one day hands on program on the most fascinating topic “Diode lasers in clinical practice” on 20th February 2023. The course had an enrollment of 54 participants including interns, post graduate students and faculty of various departments from our college. Dr.Suganya Selvarangam, MDS, Founder and President of Laser India Academy was the resource faculty of this program. She gave a comprehensive lecture on the fundamentals and applications of lasers in various fields of dentistry. The participants took part actively in the table top training session. It was followed by hands on training in which post graduate students and faculty members performed various procedures on patients using diode laser under the guidance of the resource faculty. The course has kindled the participants’ interest towards applications of lasers in clinical practice.
