Hands-on program on diode lasers in clinical practice conducted!

The Department of Periodontics conducted a one day hands-on program on the topic “Diode lasers in clinical practice” on 16th March 2024. Fifty participants enrolled for this course. Dr.P.S.G.Prakash (Professor, SRM Dental College & Hospital, Ramapuram), who has finished MS Lasers from American Academy of Laser Dentistry, and Dr.Anil Kumar (Associate Professor, Vishnu Dental College, Andhra Pradesh) were the resource faculty for this program. Principal Dr.Sharath Asokan kickstarted the program with his encouraging words. Vice-Principal Dr.Suman Jaishankar and Administrative Executive Dr.Prasad felicitated the resource faculty. Dr.P.S.G.Prakash gave a lecture on the basic principles and clinical applications of diode lasers with video demonstration of clinical cases. All participants took part actively in the hands-on training session under the guidance of the resource faculty.
