Faculty and postgraduate students of the Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology participated in the recently concluded 29th National Conference of Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists held at Dehradun from the 11th to 13th of November. Dr.Prasad, Professor, won the Best Paper award for the session for his presentation titled “PD-1 protein and its ligands in oral squamous cell carcinoma – A systematic review”, which was co-authored by Dr.C.Nitya Kala, Reader, Department of Periodontics. Dr.Swathi, 2nd year postgraduate student, also won the Best Paper award for the session for her presentation titled “Exploring the antibacterial activity of a novel strain of Bacillus subtilis”. Principal Dr.Sharath Asokan congratulated Team OPath for the achievements.
